Acrylic Vase Progress 2
On Friday morning I went into the shop in order to work a new technique for my vase. I used the heat bender that is the long metal rod. I took a fresh piece of 1/8" acrylic and bent two angles into the 12"x 24" piece. These two edges form the bottom shape of my vase. I continued to use this machine in attempts to bend the sides in to create a well for the water to stay in the vase. I could not evenly heat the essential pieces to melt so on Monday I plan I using the vacuum form again. The intense heat will hopefully help me create the ideal shape for my vase.
