to start with my final i glued and clamped together 2pieces of yellow foam and a piece of wood for the faceplate on the lathe. after that was cuered i then whent to the lathe to get started on my shape i rounded the 2 square pieces of yellow foam and started parting the cylinder where the dimensions changed. and then continued to round out the shape to the top form, when that was finished i couated the piece with spot puty and sanded it down to a smooth finish in order to get a better casting, after the sanding a final coat of paint for an even smoother finish. when the piece was ready for the molding i poured the omo smooth on into a water bottel container and then let the piece set in there so it could be cast. was the omo was dry i cut out the waster bottel and the mold in half in order to get the piece out of the mold. one that was done i poured the mixture of morder and cement component to make the final mold. i tryed 2 diffrent ones one with a rod in the center of it and one without, but the one with the rod moved slightly of center so i am going to try and make another one to see what works better
